When Naming Your Business, Here’s A Trick To Help People Remember It…

If you’re starting a new business, or planning on changing your old business’s name, here’s a trick that will help increase responses to it….This will also really help others remember your website, or your pen-name…

Make your main words in your business name start with the same letter, also known as alliteration

It works because people remember repetitive stuff more than non-repetitive stuff. That’s why most successful songs have a repeated chorus throughout the song.

Take a look at these really successful examples:

  • Butterball
  • Double Your Dating (also includes the USP)
  • Mickey Mouse
  • Great Gatsby
  • BlackBerry
  • Michael Masterson
  • Chevy Chase
  • Youtube (you hear the uuu sound twice)

I tried to do the same thing with my site, Ads That Add Sales…

I had to compromise a bit to include the main benefit, but it’s still short and memorable.

If you can get your usp in your business name of less than 5 words, with each main word starting with the same letter, and with the domain open (it’s very likely to be open) then you’ve got it good.

Otherwise you better have a real good usp that you can tell your target market before they lose interest.
